Biography

luluxxx was born in 2015 somewhere on youtube, then on social networks before arriving on the web3. Behind this pseudonym lies a French generative artist, photographer, software developer, engineer specialising in visual effects, and above all anonymous. Passionate about computer-generated imagery, she began by developing her skills in artificial intelligence and neural networks before creating her own creative tools using open-source or custom code. The artist likes to use optical flow analysis tools to capture and manipulate still images or sequences of movement, in a transformative or generative way, all in an atmosphere often described as psychedelic. luluxxx creates bridges luluxxx grew out of a desire to explore her own creativity and refine the quality of her code. She sees this project as an exploration and a challenge to her tastes. Identity is at the heart, the very essence of her work, working with personal photographs or taken from her friends' social networks. The result is intimate, strange works, somewhere between AI and digital experimentation.

She loves working with the body as much as with portraits, and generally only uses women to give them a place in the digital world, elevating them to iconic status. From the camgirl to the celebrity, via the 'internet soup' and her close circle, all women have their place in her work, without distinction of class. luluxxx magnifies all these women in the same way, treating each of them on an equal footing. All these images are integrated into her software and altered in such a way that the details are no longer or less visible by the appearance of new data to define the image. As a result, we see works that are all spirals or composed of algebraic symbols. Nevertheless, there is a clear sense of consecration of their contours, movements and personal details. She wants to find authenticity and reality in her models and in the way she represents them.

luluxxx experiments with artificial intelligence based on personal prompts. Her creations feature hybrid beings, half-human, half-machine, which make us reflect on the essence of our humanity and the extent to which our bodies can be modified to keep them intact. These questions, highlighted in her series such as Surgery, give rise to women who defy the standards of beauty and humanity in our societies.
