Artist Biography
Summer Wagner is a photographer from the rust belt region of the Midwest, United States. Her work considers the spiritual, ecological and technological contemplations pressing a post-industrial world. Wagner’s theatrical, story-driven pieces blur the line between fantasy and reality and beg the viewer to consider the hidden and subconscious themes layered in each piece of her work and ultimately in the everyday human experience.

Summer Wagner focuses mainly on creating fine-art scenes and has been featured in publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Aesthetica Magazine and Setanta books. Her work has been featured in galleries across the world including at Art Basel Miami and auctioned at Christie’s New York. Having recently relocated to Los Angeles (United States), Summer Wagner is looking to partner with choice talent to wander even deeper into the world of modern folklore she builds and explores with her work.
“Art is something that is alive, and within a person– it can transform and take different shapes. People say that words and speaking is magic, just in the sense that there's creative power in what words do and how they communicate this ineffable experience of thinking and dreaming.”
